Product Overview
SolarPaq® temperature profiling systems are designed for specific use in solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing. These systems, consisting of user-friendly Insight™ software, Datapaq® Q18 data loggers, stainless steel thermal barriers, thermocouples with PTFE or mineral insulation and accessories, provide you with the tools required to obtain the highest production yields.
The Datapaq Q18 logger features rugged, reliable and accurate data acquisition circuits, clear status indicators and an intelligent battery management system. It also features start/stop buttons, time or temperature trigger, memory capacity of 300,000 readings and measures wide temperature ranges from -200°C to 1370°C/-328°F to 2498°F.
SolarPaq Profiling System for CiGs Panel Coating
SolarPaq temperature profiling system for CiGs Panel Coating monitors the glass substrate as it passes through the vacuum coating process. Its core, the DQ1840 datalogger, is housed in a machined-from-solid stainless steel enclosure only 9mm (0.35″) thick with all LEDs and buttons recessed for protection from heat during the process.
This system passes through the multi-chamber process, measuring the temperature profile from up to 4 positions on the glass; even with the plasma activated. This feature, combined with the unique reflective plate thermal barrier enables the system to be used without disrupting normal production flow. For detailed information and system specifications, download the SolarPaq for CiGs brochure and the Solar Tracker® Insight Anti-reflection Coating Standard Report.
SolarPaq Profiling System for Anti-reflection Coating
SolarPaq temperature profiling system for anti-reflection coating monitors the temperature profile of photovoltaic (PV) cells as they pass through the plasma coating process without interference and costly modifications to the cell carrier.
Based on our research with the major equipment manufacturers, this profiling system has been designed to pass through the process chambers and measure the cell temperatures even with the plasma activated. This feature combined with the unique ability to be slotted straight into a unmodified cell carrier, enables temperature profiling to be conducted without disrupting normal production flow.

SolarPaq System for Lamination
The Datapaq SolarPaq temperature profiling system for the vacuum lamination process is an easy, quick solution to temperature monitoring without the need for trailing thermocouples or risk of damage to the lamination equipment. The logger and its associated thermocouples are placed into the laminator along with the sheet to be monitored. The system passes through the laminator and on exiting, the temperature profile information can be downloaded and analyzed.
For detailed information and system specifications, download the SolarPaq for Lamination Process brochure and the Solar Tracker® Insight Lamination Standard Report sample.
SolarPaq System for Contact Drying
This unique SolarPaq temperature profiling system for the contact drying process can be used to monitor the temperature profile through ovens with clearances as low as only 10 mm (.39 inches). By using the new, high-mass, low height DQ1840 temperature datalogger, this system alleviates the need to use a thermal barrier, ensuring that optimizing the drying process is quick and easy.
For detailed information and system specifications, download the SolarPaq for Profiling the Contact Drying Process brochure.
SolarPaq System for Contact Firing
The SolarPaq temperature profiling system for contact firing processes uses a radical new probe clamp and enables accurate and repeatable measurements on a production cell without the need for gluing or test piece set-up. The cell is slotted into the carrier and the specially designed thermocouples are then slid into position, as required.
This approach ensures accurate, repeatable results – the foundation of any process optimization program. For detailed information and system specifications, download the brochures SolarPaq for Contact Firing Process brochure and Solar Tracker Insight Contact Firing Standard Report sample.
